===== Introduction =====

This guide aims to provide a viable path for people without super endgame gears to participate in Zerocell under certain party compositions

**What is not possible**

This guide **will not enable** you to solo-farm Zerocell

**What is possible**

This guide will enable you play as lurer, survive and contribute to parties.

This guide will enable you farm Zerocell as 2/3 people parties - by performing the role of lurer + devo

Note - Zerocell Levels 3/4 now has party-loot. So all party members get drops (as long as they are within 2 screen distance)

**Patch Update**
After [[https://forum.gemstonero.com/d/4877-patch-notes-216-13-march-2026|patch]], it looks like Zerocell floors 1&2 might be primarily suited for soloing 
and Zerocell floors 3&4 better suit lurers due to party loot.

Personally I have not played much of IG or Meister other than as Zerocell lurer.

===== How it works =====

The aim is to reach as high % medium resist as possible - as all the monsters in Zerocell are medium size.

With a high enough % medium resist, you will be nearly unkillable allowing you to Lure effectively.

This is currently possible using 2 classes - Imperial Guard and Meister. Personally, I feel Imperial Guard is more effectively since you can keep other DPS alive via Devo (but Meister could be made to work as well)

Here is the build for both classes (this build aims to minimize cost. Optimizations on this build is definitely possible)

===== Play Style =====

As Imperial Guard here are the key priorities / things to keep in mind


  - As lurer, make sure run in front / ahead of party members to get aggro of the monsters. With 96% resist you are nearly immortal.
  - If you are playing duo party - make sure the DPS is always devo-ed (note: Dispell removes Devo).
  - If you are playing larger parties - be careful how many people you have devo-ed. This build doesn't have as much of a max HP as other Devo focused builds. You might not be able to have more than 2 party members in your Devo.
  - Defensive buffs you'll generally want to keep up at all times: {{:wiki:5255.webp}} Guard Stance, {{:wiki:2313.webp}} Vanguard Force, {{:wiki:2315.webp}} Shield Spell (level 2 only), {{:wiki:2325.webp}} Inspiration, {{:wiki:2318.webp}} Prestige, {{:wiki:249.webp}} Auto Guard.

    * If you're devo-ing as well: {{:wiki:5257.webp}} Rebound Shield. It cuts half off the damage received through devo. This 50% reduction applies on top of all reductions of the player you have devo-ed.
    * If you're devo-ing: note that {{:wiki:249.webp}} Auto Guard also blocks damage received through devo, effectively applying itself to the devo target.
    * Optionally: {{:wiki:5262.webp}} Holy Shield.
    * Optionally: {{:wiki:2322.webp}} Piety in Vita, unless you have a Holy enchant on your {{:wiki:15388.webp}} King Schmidt's Suit [1] ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/15388|15388]])  - for better protection against holy skill attacks from Arch Bishops there.
  - You will get dispelled. Dispel is dangerous as it removes most of your defensive buffs. Keep an eye on your buff icons and promptly reapply them after dispels. Start with {{:wiki:249.webp}} Auto Guard as it has no cooldown. At such moments your {{:wiki:2325.webp}} Inspiration is always on cooldown, and {{:wiki:2318.webp}} Prestige is often on cooldown too.
  - You will get accessories stripped. This is dangerous as it breaks the {{:wiki:27112.webp}} Anger Ice Titan Card ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/27112|27112]])  and {{:wiki:27111.webp}} Anger Snowier Card ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/27111|27111]])  combo, lowering your damage reduction from 96% to 76%, which effectively increases incoming damage 6x (24% starts getting through compared to 4% normally).
  - If you're devo-ing, keep {{:wiki:5256.webp}} Guardian Shield up and re-buff once it's off cooldown. If you're mostly luring, use a tactic that better fits your play style:

    * Pre-buff before luring and reapply once off cooldown.
    * Don't pre-buff. Cast it if you get hitlocked by mobs or get your accessories stripped.
    * Pre-buff but lure less while it's on cooldown; lure aggressively once it's off cooldown.
  - Once you die, get back to the party as soon as possible and ask your biolo to reapply {{:wiki:479.webp}} Full Chemical Protection. Switch your chat to party mode and bind a message like %%FCP please%% to your Alt+# hotkeys.
  - You might get gears broken. Bind a message like %%brb need repair%% in case you need to travel to your savepoint and back for repairs. Bind %%@load%% and %%@lastwarp%% for fast warps.
  - You will get trapped in Electric Shocker. Use {{:wiki:2309.webp}} Trample to remove it.
  - You will get stopped by Extreme Vacuum. Use {{:wiki:2323.webp}} Earth Drive to remove it.
  - Mind your AP as you need it for {{:wiki:5256.webp}} Guardian Shield. To generate AP:

    * Aggro mobs with {{:wiki:5265.webp}} Shield Shooting while luring. {{:wiki:5265.webp}} Shield Shooting no longer requires switching to the Attack Stance and is now the most convenient way to regen AP if there're mobs around.
    * Spam {{:wiki:5267.webp}} Cross Rain if there're no mobs around and you're short on AP.
  - Since devo depends on the reductions of players being devo-ed, suggest other party members use at least reach at least {{:wiki:4253.webp}} Alice Card ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/4253|4253]])  and other reduction gears if possible.
  - {{:wiki:252.webp}} Reflect Shield can be used to trigger {{:wiki:470073.webp}} Boots of Unknown Life [1] ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/470073|470073]])  which could be a valid alternative to {{:wiki:470303.webp}} Yorscalp Boots [1] ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/470303|470303]])
  - {{:wiki:5013.webp}} King's Grace is useful in situations when you're luring a large mob and can no longer handle it but your party is too far away. Casting {{:wiki:5013.webp}} King's Grace gives your 5 seconds to prepare your next move and allows your party to catch up while keeping you alive.
  - {{:wiki:256.webp}} Providence can be cast on allies to increase their resistance against demon monsters by 25%. Not a priority since there is only 1 demon monster per map.
  - {{:wiki:2322.webp}} Piety can be cast on allies to protect them from Arch Bishop's skills as well.
  - If you mostly use {{:wiki:1100005.webp}} Concentrated Golden Syrup Potion ([[https://ratemyragnarok.com/database/items/1100005|1100005]])  for healing, you can bind one of the hotkey slots to Space, and set Space as a turbo key (%%Key1=SPACE%% in its config). Thus hold Space = emergency heal.


P.S. I have not played lurer with Meister, but I'd imagine most of the above remains the same; minus the devo; with other class specific buffs
